ComFrame Software Corporation is currently searching for a Senior J2EE Engineer in our Birmingham, AL office.

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment of leading edge software (Java/J2EE) and design and implementation of multi-tiered web-based software solutions. The right candidate will be a senior level engineer or architect with a solid understanding of architecture in J2EE.

• 5+ years experience developing commercial grade Java and J2EE software in a team environment
• 5+ years experience in object-oriented analysis and design, multi-tiered solutions, web technology and standard design patterns
• 5+ years experience developing and deploying J2EE solutions in one or more application servers (e.g. WebSphere, JBoss, OC4J, etc.)
• 3+ years experience using XML in a development (Schemas, XSL, XSLT)
• Demonstrated experience developing web-based and thick client J2EE solutions
• Proficient in Unified Modeling Language
• Experience developing J2EE applications using JSP, EJB, Swing, Spring, XML, HTML, Hibernate, POJOs
• Experience with relational database technology, multiple operating systems, multiple database vendors and user interface design
• Strong experience in SQL
• Ability and desire to interact with clients on a daily basis to manage expectations, gather requirements
• Significant experience consulting with clients or working with end users
• Some experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards) preferred, but not required

• Desire candidates with industry certifications
• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
